Can folks who have fitted a gator board to their TC-7520 DAC comment on the outcome.

I think this was really aimed at the Caiman with a 15v supply so don't know if it's suitable. Apart from upgraded op amps, my TC-7520 is unchanged.

In usual fashion, I've dithered on this one, and read that's Stan's stock may even be near sold out. Mind you feeling as sick as a parrot on and off for a couple of weeks hasn't exactly helped with decision making.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I can do an upgrade kit for the TC-7520 that consists of a Gator, Caiman PSU (with or without mainslead), and LM4562NA or AD826. It really transforms the stock TC-7520.

I still have stock of the Gator, but I am down to the last 20 pieces. But I might need to make another batch if I continue getting requests from TC-7520 and Caiman owners who are only now finding out about its existence.

Hi Stan,

Sounds like a gator without the 15v PSU is not what you'd recommend.

But I was under the impression (probably mistaken) that there was a large capacitor on the DC input of the TC-7520 that was only rated at 16v, hence using a 15V PSU is very clsoe to that limit.

Anyway I'll PM you.

I would get the Wolfson dac chip upgrade first
