Lovely setup mate, would def. like to hear some Pain of Salvation being played through it! Playing Jeff Buckley - Grace on vinyl as I type too. Have always wanted to own a pair of Wharfedale Opus, fine speakers indeed and you are right, very underrated.

Nice kit, I've always liked the Music First passive pre.

Yes the MF passive pre is nice I was a bit worried it would not work with the Glowmaster but no issues

Ah -- nice kit. :)

Serious Wharfedales?! - I didn't know they did any! I'd love to hear them.

I've been wondering about the PSA DAC myself. How does it compare with other DACs you might have tried?

Hi John,

Wow - you've got a lot of top-notch kit there! I love the VPI, in particular. I've always admired their designs. There's so much great American kit these days, which wasn't necessarily the case 10 or 15 years ago.

Marco.

Hi Jerry
Think generally not to much in the DACs comparision wise but I like what Rob has to say about the Apogee studio DAC decoding 32/176.4 The PS Digital link has good bass and has plenty of dynamics but can be just a tiny bit harsh upper middle. Although just managed to overcome issues I been having quite cheaply
The Opus 3 are very underated speakers and will compete with speakers costing up to £5000 and only cost me a £1000 with just 30 hours on them Really love them
Marco
Yes The Super scoutmaster is really good the rim drive takes it to another level and then the arm takes it even further The Terminator is the best arm I have heard not bad when it costs £500 and the Kt88 is pretty special as well

Great speakers John, and a cracking system! Definitely a bit crowded in there though. :)

Yes agree but works (maybe it should not but hey i can relax after a hard days work and just enjoy and still get music that I can feel in my body as well as seduce me)The turntable really is at a different level to the digital system, shame it was not here when you picked up the stands

Yeah, I'd like to hear it at some point. When I'm next in your neck of the woods I'll drop in for a blast. :)
