I have rather a lot of classical music CDs for sale which i inherited off of my father. The CDs themselves should be in as new condition, he looked after his stuff like i do mine ;) Rather than list the condition of each disc (there are loads :eyebrows:) i'll check the ones out that people express an interest in & let them know.

Some will have non original replacement cases due to me having swiped the case & replaced it with a more worn/battered one. However if the case is at all damaged i'll supply a new case before it/they are dispatched & i'll inform the buyer of this if it's the case (pardon the pun :eyebrows:).

I'm looking for £2.00 + P&P per cd. There are some box sets & these will be priced individually.

In no particular order:-

Berlioz - Harold En Italie Czech Philharmonic (Supraphon)
Strauss - Ein Heldenleben Don Juan Chicago symphony Orchestra (RCA)
Strauss - Eine Alpensinphonie Concertgebouw Orchestra/Haitink (Philips)
Strauss - Also Sprach Zarathustra Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra/Karajan (Deutche Grammophon)
Strauss - Also Sprach Zarathustra/Don Juan Concertgebouw Orchestra/Haitink (Philips)
Strauss - Also Sprach Zarathustra Boston Symphony Orchestra/Seiji Ozawa (Philips)
Brahms - Symphony no4 Haydn Variations London Symphony Orchestra/Staatskapelle Dresden/Claudio Abbado (Deutche Grammophon)
Haydn - Symphonies 94,96 & 100 Philharmonia Hungarica/Antal Dorati (Decca)
Strauss - Ainsi Parlait Zarathoustra/Don juan New York Philharmomic Orchestra/Leonard Bernstein (Sony)
Igor Stravinsky - The Firebird (Suite) London Symphony Orchestra/Claudio Abbado (Deutche Grammophon)

Jeez this is going to take forever  I'm getting a beer & i'll be back  Maybe... I'm just trying to think if there's an easier way than this

I presume the several versions of Also Sprach Zarathustra were to allow you to find the best version? I did the same with Toccata & Fugue. :)

There's probably more yet  We'll have to assume father did that trick i guess ;)

I think i'll stick to listing 10 CDs per day, i really couldn't face listing the lot at once :eyebrows:

Done :) No jiffy bags for you Damian, you're going to need a box already :eyebrows:

I won't be able to calculate the shipping charge to Dublin whilst sat on my backside here in the UK, i can for stuff that i send in the UK though. Just keep adding whatever you want & when i'm done i'll box the lot & go down the PO & get the correct shipping costs ;)

Mark

Not sure how many you have got to go.

I sometimes just pile up things like books and CDs, and take a photo - it's a lot quicker than writing down the details. I've done this in the past for CDs and books I've lent/borrowed - e.g spread them out on the floor or table.

Depends on the resolution of your camera etc. You could even just photo the CDs end on in a shelf.

Then all you'd have to do would be to post a few links to the photos. Just a suggestion - may save you time.

Hi Dave, that's not a bad idea at all :) The trouble with me is i'm a stubborn git & i'll just carry on the way i have done. You know what Magnus Magnusson used to say after the phweep, phweep, phweep?

Hi Damian, i have pulled the 3 new ones out & added to your ever expanding collection ;) You do have a CD of Stravinskys' firebird suite in there, it just doesn't match what's on the list ;)

Will do Damian, i should be in touch Sunday. If i have a doubt about it though it'll be Monday after i have actually take the package to the PO to measure it up so to speak :eyebrows: You'll be getting a decent sized box, if you can confirm the Northern Ireland AD is good to use i'd prefer to as i'd like to send this amount recorded (only 74p extra - but gives me peace of mind & you a tracking number :)). As well as that it'll be cheaper for you to than sending to Southern Ireland at a guess

I'll be in touch shortly ;) Paypal gift will be fine :smoking:

Have a good weekend

Graham i bring surprising news :) The only CD i can't supply you with is the following:- Smetana - The Moldau (Vltava), From Bohemias Meadows & Forests, Boston Symphony Orchestra/Rafael Kubelik. Dvorak - Slavonic Dances Op.46, Slavonic Dances Op.72. Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra/Rafael Kubelik (Deutche Grammophon)

Just in case both Nigel & Anthony happen to get email updates i can you that you both have PMs :) Your CDs are packaged & ready to be sent to you ;)

Graham, i'll be boxing your CDs up tomorrow :) As i'm 100% sure that the package is going to weigh in at over 4Kgs it'll have to be sent via RM standard parcels though i'm sure i can send it recorded for tracking purposes ;)

I'd suggest that i keep it here & post it on Monday, assuming it's all payed for by then, that way it won't be sitting around the sorting office over the weekend :) I have heard horror stories so i'm sure you'll understand my trepidation on that matter..

Hope to hear from you all shortly, all the best
