Hi Guys

Breaking news......

I always put the radio on when I wake so this morning that coincided with the news coming on and lo and behold a major incident was enfolding near to where we live, so I grabbed my camera and raced to the best vantage point ,a bridge that crosses the Belfast to Bangor railway and road, where I could get a view of what was happening;though not a view of the actual fire's seat.

On my way I could hear at least 6 fire engines racing to the scene, I saw 3 and heard a further 3 but I suspect that many more will be attending this fire. Short Brothers is a major employer in Belfast and makes both complete aeroplanes but also parts for other companies.

At this stage I have not heard what part is on fire or how serious it is in scope but the photos speak for themselves. The fire is also near Belfast George Best Airport.

Edit Update Police have closed Sydenham Bypass, Belfast Harbour Estate and the M3 road. This represents a fairly large area so I think it safe to say that this is a major incident. More details to follow.

Further info..... 8 Fire engines in attendance, with over 50 fire fighters fighting the fire.
