+1. I hate lecturers.

Excellent! Well, except for the cartridge hating cat. Can't you sellotape one of its claws to the tonearm? ;)

What's the Story with the sick NAD?

Kris.

Reminds me of my late little Ollie - another slightly "blotchy" tabby........ :wah:

Great little system up there. Surely there's a cheap phono stage you could get from work? As for styli or cartridges, why not see how cheaply you can get an AT120e for the Thorens? Failing that, an Ortofon 510 or 520 at a good price?

There should beTWO cute cats; a stereo pair.

I have two black cats; I call them my monoblacks !

They don't do cartridges, though, preferring pouches and tins.

You've done well in two months, HAMISH, but I can't see a CDP (or tuner), so your music must be computer sourced, I guess. I have the three shelf version of your Target table, b.t.w. (in my loft)

we arnt there in every room just yet though this is the work-in-progress dining room/bar (we like the odd bevvy too marty) that's hannah in the foreground painting our dinning room chairs White to match the bar
If you look closely you can see my usher s520's on the shelves below the drinks... The bar is actually a dj's desk originaly designed by a man who uses technics 1210's (spirious hifi link there for you)

'Music Has The Right To Children' - top choice Hamish! Though Geogaddi has quietly crept up on me and stolen my allegiance over the years :)

Unfortunately it's often the case that the depth that others care for you is matched by the shallowness of their ability to help you. This leads to their frustration and ultimately confrontation, rather than understanding an not judging.

Sorry mate I just thought I would say it as its obviously a major issue for you, overwise you wouldn't have mentioned it.

Anyway, if you can't turn to a bunch of sad gits on an online forum who can you turn to? :)

When you do, read this (http://mikeypdiddy.tripod.com/boardspaper.htm). It's an excellent breakdown of what's going on Geogaddi. Talk about deep!

Too complicated for my simplistic mind... :o

You can definitely enjoy the album without having a scooby about the complexity beneath, thankfully!!

Catz have very limited use in audio, there hair chokes amps and makes them over heat and they just seem to sharpen there claws on every speaker grill.

But catz can work very well in tweeking room acuostics.
First have them stuffed then nail them up on the wall where ever you have sound reflections.
Catz make great acoustic wall treatments.:lolsign:
