teac x-2000m - any good?

I never owned on but Have a TEAC X-1000 which is very nice ( but sick at the moment :rolleyes:)
They fetch a high price and were supposed to be their successor and superior model to the X-1000 however by all accounts they were built to an inferior quality spec particularly the head mounting system & tape transport. Read up the reports on them over on Tapeheads.net and Sam Palermo who used to be a lead sevice Tech with TEAC Tascam and a specialist in servicing all TEAC machines and he doesent rate them.
