Hi Guys,

Just to show you that I'm a bit more 'with it today' (thanks to the magical curative properties of Laphroaig whisky and Janneau 'Napoleon' Armagnac, £25/litre Heathrow duty free!), the following is a photo of the front room taken from the listening seat.

I feel somewhat guilty in having been a member of AoS for about a year now, yet have still have to provide some pictures. The photo was taken on a friend's Panasonic in low resolution and with flash. It's not very good but will have to suffice until such time as a get a digital camera of my own.

Hi Barry

Can you make the photo bigger please. After wanting for some time to see your room, I am disappointed the photo is not bigger.

I can host your pictures if you want to email them to me, Barry. It's great to see your gaff!

Is the 'eek' smiley a misunderstanding that I might have drunk the two mixed together? Heaven forbid!

Yes I know it's far from ideal, but do you know the trouble I had in transfering this image, amongst others, from the e-mail attachment into Photobucket?

After having had no success in downloading the attachments into My Pictures and thence into my Photobucket account (Photobucket kept on saying "invalid filename"), I then found that I could forward the e-mail attachments directly to my Photobucket account, whereupon they were added sucessfully to my album.

I'm sure I could enlarge the picture size within Photobucket, however being taken in 'low res' mode, would one not end up with a larger grainy picture (the pixel size being enlarged pro rata)?

I know what you are all trying to say - "buy a digital camera you skinflint and let's have some decent pictures"! Well yes, but I want a Leica M9, so I can use my lenses, but I can't afford £5K! No doubt I will relent and buy a modest Panasonic (with Leica optics) and then be able to provide all the pictures in pornographic detail that you want. Be patient.

Oh for goodness' sake... get an Argos 10Mp special for £60 or so and take some snapshots. Even David Bailey promoted the Olympus Trip at one time and I've seen some lovely pics taken with a basic "snapshot" camera, even if they totally lack the snob appeal of fancy long lenses etc...
