I can only speak for the older KA-1 MKIII model. But I'd expect the K2/K3 generation to hold many similar traits.

The Kandy's are renown to sound punchy and dynamic. They present the music, in a ''wall of sound'' kind of way. Just don't expect ultimate detail and information retrieval!!

IMO, very fun sounding things, with stunning build quality in spades.

Take a look at some Class A amplification Oliver. Valve or solid state.

Ok, just looking at options if my Sony doesn't start behaving.

Second hand Sugden A21a. Should be fine with your Celestions and Missions. Shane can give an opinion. I think he's had a couple.

One in Germany. 230 volt. Sugden can advise as to suitability for UK use.

The modern A21a family can sound exceptionally communicative. They're actually quite lean sounding amps. Just don't expect any vice-like grip, and authoritative bass out of them!

YMMV!

Some user reviews here. They seem to sum it up quite well.

Another good alternative to the Roksan. Perhaps consider the modern Exposure ''3010'' amplifiers.

Like the Roksan. They have nice big substantial power-supply's, and copious amounts of power. Most importantly they also sound very musical!

My mate had one . I took my Brio R over to his for a comparison . The Brio R sounded better in his system and he now owns one .

Rotels work well with Missions as long as you stick to the late 80s or 90s models

I find the Roksans to be a bit flat and lifeless. Great reviews in What Hi-Fi, though.

Take a look at the new Rega Brio-r when it arrives.

Ok, brio-R is now on my test list.
