Can you move the Hi-fi unit so we can put the Christmas tree in the usual place.

I think it went well :)

I tried to tell her it's not about showing off and buying the best looking and most expensive tree she can find, it's about the Spirit of Christmas, so I found that one for her [emoji4]

It looks like you gained a little bit on the spread between your speakers, especially with the left side PMC, that certainly can't hurt things I would think. Well done!

Should at least have sat it on the tt. Then rotated it slowly. Some husbands are so insensitive;)

Christmas trees, it reminds me of a funny thing that a work mate did. His wife had been wanting him to go and buy one of those newfangled fake trees, the ones that come pre-lit and all that. He wanted no part of it as he had always had real trees, and wasn't going to have a fake plastic one in his house.

He came home after to work to find a big box laying in the living room. Sure enough, one of those newfangled, fake, plastic trees. He said he let it sit there on the floor in the middle of the living room for a couple of weeks, and listened to his wife complain about it not being set up. Nothing more was said. The following day, wife comes home to find said fake tree nailed to the ceiling, upside down and decorated no less, including wiring to the lights.

Needless to say, we all got a good laugh over that one. He said his kids loved it, the wife, not so much. Needless to say, they are now divorced, not that the tree had a major part in it I doubt, but maybe a smidgeon. Merry effing Christmas!

Just watching the news and they are talking about the Christmas tree given by Norway as a thank you for our help in WW2, I bet they wished they never started it, 70 years is surely enough already.

Given the Chrimbo tree guessing the Mrs is happy with size not being everything Mike?
All about compromise... :D

And we didn't actually help them. We just tried and failed. Still, they can afford a pine tree once a year they've got loads. What do we get from France? Probably a little one like Mike's got.

Great use of proper diffraction and acoustic damping between your speaker and side wall. You didn't tell us your wife was an audiophile. :D

It's funny you say that but it is actually sounding better lol.

I'm going to leave the Hi-fi unit where it is just now and then play about with speaker position once the tree is down, at the moment they sound superb just 2" from the wall, whereas before they were 6" be interesting to hear them once tree is gone, it might be totally different ;)

I like the Christmas rug !!! :) Nice !!!!

I doubt there is enough room in my hi fi corner for the wife to put the tree there !!
And the new rescue sheepdog , 6 months old , he hates me , is bound to rip the lights off ours and generally trash it

Watch that one of those branches doesn't end up poking or tearing a hole in one of your drivers!

Looks nice though!

I did worry about that before moving everything but it's far enough away not to touch them :)

I must have had the head down and been doing a little work when the sun was/If the sun was out here, it's been mild but never seems to brighten up some days.

Just realised we have very similar wallpaper, ours is white with red/silver flowers. spooky.
