Oh, well, buying the Nagra-T at £2850 still give you about £3k to restore it before you get to a price, which would reflect the value of a fully working T.

Mr Lodgesound had one some time ago up for sale at £6000 if I recall :scratch:

One of these in perfect working order with lapped heads, NAB adaptors and a stand WITH the bridge I would not consider selling for under £10 000 now as they have quite significant commercial value in the mastering sector and will more so once more open reel masters start to be manufactured for the high end world (if that ever happens).

In so so or "broken" / untested condition the price this went for was entirely reasonable - usually broken they fetch just over £3000.

These are rare and getting rarer. They are extremely difficult to repair and maintain so if you get a good one you are lucky - many have high hours on them from use in Telecine facilities and dubbing operations and have been quite badly thrashed.

If you want one now when they do come up on the bay be prepared for last second professionally mounted snipes at this kind of level.
