Shame this is not a audio R2R , Its listed as a data recorder :(

Would be a nice addition to the chaos that is AudioAl's listening room :D

I saw that as well, Al. Whatever you do, don't buy data tape for use in an audio R2R - you'll wear the heads out very quickly that way.

You could rip your cd's to it, to give them an authentic tape sound...

(wonder how may reels of tape you'd need for a cd's worth of data?)

Don't give me a shock Al! I was expecting to see an EMT reel to real machine. They are extremely rare, especially as EMT never made a tape machine!

Anyway, avoid all data recorders (even Nagra machines) - they are of little use for music recordings.

Actually I would be more interested in this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Type-634-Ferrograph-Tape-Recorder-by-Clarke-Smith-Reel-to-Reel-Tape-Recorder/152149041942?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%2 6asc%3D36799%26meid%3Def6eeb767be140f69c0f1c2bd0c7 8c37%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D1722 74988487. Now these are rare, but sadly it is a single channel machine.
