I got the idea for this thread from a new AC/DC box set, which is so over the top, overpriced, ridiculous, and god I want one please Santa....

it can be viewedhere (http://www.acdcbacktracks.com)...

anyway, so this is about ridiculously lavish packaging you own/have heard about.... just interested to see who (like me) gets sucked in by this stuff, and how far you're willing to go...

Mine (as of yet) is this one:

Never been interested in all that stuff really.
But the first Zappa 'Beat The Boots' boxset had a cardboard pop-up thingy inside it & a T-shirt.
But I bought it for the albums!

I was, however alway impressed by LP's with die cut sleeve like:
The Faces - 'Ooh La La'
The Wailers - 'Catch a Fire' with it's Zippo lighter complete with flip top lid
Alice Cooper - 'Schools Out' folded out into a school desk & kept shut with a pair of paper knickers
Led Zeppelin - 'III'

..........and all that stuff!
