Well, after I posted in here that I'd acquired a bargain GL75 with the intention of "Pimping" it over the winter, so in an attempt to speed me along - I thought If I posted a few pic's of the start, It would give me impetus to carry on!! :)

Being lazy, here is the base plate back from being bead blasted

And all redundant holes blanked off :)

New plinth arrived yesterday - from Austria.....really glossy piano black

Base plate has also been drilled to fit my johnnie7 tweaked Alphason tone arm....
The next step is base plate off to the "body shop" for re-spray.....all I know at the moment is that it's going to be really glossy Candy Apple Red, but may have gold or silver flecks and lots of clear coats
Next is the motor service and the platter may go to my mates for some machine polishing :) :) I will keep you posted now that I've got some forward momentum

So. Another "blasted" L75! :)

That's going to look rather nice I reckon.

Nice - where did you get the plinth from? I'm thinking of a new, slightly less ridiculous plinth for mine, and that might fit the bill...

Hi Jason,
Here's a link to the one I bought and I'm very pleased and the shipping from Austria was really quick.....Based on some I've seen the price didn't seem too bad :) :)

What type of paint is on that top plate Graham? Hi Geoff it's a 3 stage gel coat from a mate who works in a car bodyshop... he finished off my poor hole filling and did a little more rubbing down cos he wouldn't be happy with the finnish made a good job of it me thinks :) :)

Ah. I did wonder. Looks very nicely done. I'd have made a real mess of it if I'd tried to do it myself... luckily I know a man who can :) :)
