Looks like my Studer B67. My version has electronics below tape system.
The Ebay one has electronics under tape system.

It is normal size! Just that the very first photo is taken at an angle such that the camera lens introduces some elongation of it. And because the B67 is more rectangular because it lacks anything below the buttons in it's basic form, it looks wider than normal (whereas in fact is actually less deep).

A BBC machine would look like this in it's trolley:

And this is what it looks like outside it's trolley:

Wow thats a beutifull machine Juha :stalks:
The B67 was considered a compact version of the A80 and is the predicessor to the A810 which I use :eyebrows:

Its a classic and would be a nice project if you could get it looking like the one above and sounding like an A80:D

My B67 was last serviced in 2008. I am going to test it during the holidays. First cleaning and maybe some lubrication. I don't have any reference tapes, so I'll just try recording and playback.
Does it need some special oil?

Yes get some from Nagravox, Ok its expensive but its the right oil for the likes of the Capstan motor etc so worth a tenner of anyones money IMO
no point taking a risk to damage a bearing with the wrong oil and I did that with a Linn sondek years ago

Try to download some test tones if you dont have a signal generator ?

If you record a 100hz, 1K, 10k 16K tone and it plays back the same levels as what you recorded its near enough

I've got a B62 which unfortunately needs a new capstan motor (I think!) to be fully sorted. There's a mild flutter audible (to me anyway. A few friends that heard it said they couldn't hear anything wrong!) which I have pretty well ruled out being anything but a slightly out of true motor. I can only guess that although the machine looks fine it's had one hell of a knock at some point.... or maybe more likely another machine has and the motor was re-used in this one which muggins here bought  It's a pity as everything is fine otherwise and I replaced most of the bearings with instrument grade ones...

Thank you for lubrication tips.

I got the same special oil from Ebay seller revox-online. This seller is from Germany.
A larger bottle of ISOFLEX PDP65 with shipment for £10.

The postage from Australia would have been twice the value of the goods.

We had these mounted in the trolleys shown next to the VTR's in Television Centre for audio lay off/spin back during editing.
