Hi Guys

On BBC4 now, Electric Dreams.

A modern family taken back to the 70's. Bound to be some audio the trailer had reel to reel and Trio hi-fi. Worth a look. Its about how technology has changed over the years. Three programs 1970's/1980's/1990's and all the tech that came during those periods.

Yep, probably more so than anyone else here (and that's saying something!), you deserve the title of 'Captain Retro'! :eyebrows:

The 60s and 70s (the former I can't really speak of from personal experience) were just so much more interesting on all sorts of levels than the 90s and 'noughties' :exactly:

He's ok but distinctly lower division compared to this boy who you wanna model your tache on:

A veritable 70s icon! A knowing smile and the words: "Fancy a Martini, shweety, and a drive home in the Jaaag..." is guaranteed to loosen the elastic on a thousand pairs of knickers :eyebrows:

Aaaghhh! Jason King!!!

When I asked my mum why I was called Jason, she said after a TV star in the late 60s who was a big hit... turns out it's him!!

Still, I have the face fuzz now... OMG, chest hair too... now, where's that Martini?

Love this song about it all - sorry for the crappy sound, but the lyrics are great!

I know Brian Houston, really nice guy. I used to help him out with brown goods technology purchases and discussions about music royalties etc.

I've only ever met him at gigs, used to see him a lot in Brighton with the equally excellent Duke Special. But from the little I've spoken to him I'd agree, a really nice bloke and a great songwriter. Some of his stuff is very reminiscent of Dylan in a good way.

Anyway, back on topic chaps...

:doh::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:.

When Brian became a wee bit more successful he thought long and hard about what he might buy with his money. He's very serious about such matters, every purchase was weighed up. Do I really need this, how much benefit will it bring to my life and my families etc. I really like him as a person, very humble and gentle guy.
