View Full Version : My kit after building works March '09

After many months of building alterations, partly to increase my listening room width, I set up my recently acquired E.A.R. 509s and other stuff in a Heath Robinson way, as the amps are a bloody awkward shape and size.
You'll note the Naim 135s in situ, along with the other bits, as I've been chopping and changing them for six months. A decision on which to keep has now been made, though.
N.B. the mains patresses on a floor to ceiling board, behind which the cables drop from the ceiling.
I shall be taking more up-to-date piccies, but am still shunting stuff around, trying to avoid transformers being too close to t/t motor and pick-up paraphernalia.

Forgive my terrible memory, but which amps did you keep?

Dave, thanks for your interest.
Nothing to do with your memory, as I've only recently come to a conclusion.
The E.A.R. 509s.
Not an open and shut case, as I hope to expand upon in a couple of days, if only to follow on from my previous resume on this forum of these two diverse, yet surprisingly similarly voiced amps.

Hi Mike
Nice to see photos of your set up and the meticulous layout (not finished as you say). I look forward to reading more in the next while.

Hi Mike
and the meticulous layout

LOL Sarcasm can be very funny, Neil ! (Or were you being kind?). Actually, layout has already changed, with another wall shelf up, but until the place is carpeted late September I won't be able to finalise things.
I had the old wall knocked down to create an extra two and a half feet or so of equipment space, but now find this has just brought a new set of problems.
C'est la vie !
