I have chosen the album Human from 2003
This is the sixth studio album from an English ‘Downtempo’ artist, Nitin Sawhney with standout tracks ‘Stay Alone’ and ‘Falling’.
I was first introduced to Nitin Sawhney by a fellow Hifi fan and music lover and have been hooked ever since. I love the fusion of English and Indian sounds, powerful bass line and through provoking lyrics. ‘Human’ is probably not at the top of everyone’s list when talking about Nitin Sawhney, but I really like the way in which I can sit back and relax throughout the entire album.

You can find Nitin Sawhney’s Wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitin_Sawhney

I am looking forward to hearing this I not got this Nitin album as tend to lean towards the more fusion elements of east meets west music

I enjoying this but feel like I will have to have a few listens before voting. The music and lyrics are reflective in nature. I even tempted to purchase this

I'm going to skip this one Paul as I have tried in the past with NS but don't really get on with him.

Fair enough Tim, although before you write him off, I would certainly recommend a listen to Beyond Skin or this album Human as they are both excellent albums :) … especially if you are into deep and I mean cavernous bass :)

I have Beyond Skin featuring the fabulous Nadia, but I don't know this album. Will have a listen.

I had never heard of Nitin Sawhney before so I was interested in listening to the album. There are a couple of tracks I really enjoyed, "Falling" and "Waiting" in particular. The other tracks might take a listen or two before I can issue a final opinion but I did enjoy the bass impact on many of the tracks. I don't think I'd purchase the album but I will save it to listen to another time to see if my opinion changes.

Right now I give it a 6 out of ten pending further review.

There is some good mood music in there but nothing that I would sit and listen to in concentration. 5/10 from me.

I listened a couple of times to this album but still cannot get into the Eastern mix type of music. Just not my thing so only 6 out of 10. Sorry Paul.

Have listened to this twice and am very taken with the variety of different styles, all very musical and well produced. Not a band I had ever heard of, but I am going to give this 8/10. Thanks for the recommendation.

I have the first 9 of his physical CDs - last year's OneZero was originally digital download only, but I see it is now available on CD so will be rushing off to Amazon...

I will play it through a couple of times before voting, but a big fan of his work - good choice Paul. :)
