The bin it was in just said polypropylene. The shopkeeper didn't have anything to add to that. No other markings on the caps

I'm wondering if anyone can identify the construction of it.

2.2nF. Can't remember what the lettering means any more though.

The "J" means that the tolerance is +/- 5%, which is probably the most common type.

Yep. I looked it up in the online calculator.
I should have said that I was wondering what the construction of it is. I edited the original post.

looks like 2n2 5% polystyrene, looks to be wound rather than stacked film, a lot like what was used in some of the older Sony CDP's which was built like tanks

Thanks Leo. You think these are ok to use as signal coupling in a dac? I have some of these, some Wimas and some Evox I want to play around with for tuning.

Value is too low to use on its own as signal coupling cap, could try as a bypass cap across a larger value, be better used in part of a filter circuit
