Hi.

I've bought a pair of ATC SCM11, I enjoyed these with Crimson 530 power amps, but I would prefer a more recent amp and I heard these speakers need a very powerfull amp.

So what integrated amp (with phono input) could work with these speakers for 800£ (second hand of course)?

I agree with Martin with that choice too ^^^^

Plenty of power and refinement to drive the ATCs and not far off your budget for brand new too :eyebrows:

Thanks! This amp looks very interesting and offers some other features like the built-in DAC...

All ATC passives eat power like you wouldn't believe, so anything with at least 100WPC would be a good idea IMO and IME with the brand. The XTZ looks to be as good as anything, but on the used market, a Cambridge 840 or a HK990 of fairly recent (last five years) production could be considered too.

I don't know about the rest of the ATC range, but I don't think the SCM11s necessarily need loads of power. I'm using a pair (bought just over a year ago, so not the very latest incarnation) with a Rega Brio-R, and a very happy pairing they seem to make !
I see you're in France; Rega seems over the years to have had an enthusisatic following in the French HiFi press !

From the Stereophile review measured performance. 82dB sensitivity so will need some power if you want to whack it up a bit without clipping the amp on peaks:

The SCM 11's voltage sensitivity is specified as a fairly low 85.0dB/2.83V/m; this seemed a touch optimistic, as the ATC didn't seem to play any louder than the sample of the BBC LS3/5a that I routinely include when I'm set up to measure a bunch of loudspeakers. I estimated the ATC's sensitivity as being a low 82dB(B)/2.83V/m—this speaker should work best with higher-power amplifiers, though I note that JM had no drive difficulties with the Arcam Mini or Carat I57 receivers he used, and was impressed by the speaker's dynamic capabilities when he drove it with the Peachtree Nova. This was probably owing to the fact that the SCM 11's impedance remains above 8 ohms for most of the audioband, with a dip to 6 ohms between 100 and 300Hz, and to 4.8 ohms in the mid-treble (fig.1). Though there is a rather demanding combination of 5.5 ohms magnitude and –42° electrical phase angle at 3.3kHz, this shouldn't overtax well-designed amplifiers

Hi.

And what about Exposure power amps, for example the 3010s stereo power amp, rated at 110W per channel?

Is that really 50w Class A?

Must have some big heat sinks hidden away...

It is pretty much all heatsink apart from a little bit on the centre where the traffo and the other bits live. 28 kilos. But you are right I doubt it will really give 50 watts in proper class A operation. Only tried it in class A once and couldn't tell much difference except that it was very, very hot after a couple of hours. In AB it barely gets warm even when blasting it out but then the speakers are 94dB at 1 metre.

Like to hear one sometime, I read good things about them.
