Simple question

Is this fairly easy to accomplish using an adapter like this (http://www.cardas.com/adaptors.php)

I propose to use a high quality pre-amp to a Krell FPB 700cx power amp but as I like the Pre I don't want to sell it to go fully balanced.

Yes or I used something like this:

If making up your own cables then I assume that configuration 17 here would be fine assuming that the output of the pre is up to the sensitivity of the power amp?

Yes - remarkably good. Look at the Sonifex - it goes both ways.

Best

I also used a Sonifex to connect an Audio Research CD to a hybrid amp which could hum if provoked with no poor effect - specs at bottom of this link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sonifex-Redbox-RB-UL1-unbalanced-to-balanced-converter-with-gain-Stereo-EX-BBC-/161205755304?pt=UK_MusicalInstruments_Other_Pro_Au dio_Equipment&hash=item25889c9da8
