not bad for the money some of the world design kit is pretty nice. I heard one a few years back in a World design system and whilst not the final world in resolution did a lot of things right

Its a great amplifier. I have a heavily modded one. The eBay one has been serviced by John Creswell and he can be found on the WD forum for support, John is extremely knowledgeable and a great guy. The amp has that typical KT-88 punchy sound. The only downside to it IMHO and this is from a modification point of view is that the chassis is quite small and it's PCB based meaning tweaking and adding in replacement caps etc can be a headache...

I believe this is my old amp.

For the money it is great (assuming it goes for market value!)

It already has some mods to it :- http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t187/diceman200/hifi/wad5.jpg

IIRC they were jensen caps (can't remember what the cathode caps were but they look like blackgates?

It also had the mod done to reduce the operating point of the KT88 as per the WAD suggestions.

Bear in mind it is a "midi" sized component and not full width. I sold it to buy a WD88XL it's bigger brother and IMHO there wasn't a massive difference at all.

Unfortunately the seller has removed it from sale so there is one lost opportunity.
