Google SketchUp 3D drawing program.

Has anyone else tried using the free 3D drawing program available from Google?

I've been using it to mock up various designs and have found it really useful, especially as it's totally free and available to anyone, so if you model something in 3D and they install it themselves, you can just send them the 3D model to look at.

Just interested in people's views.

I swear by it.

Before I model in "proper" 3D in Lightwave, I get my ideas down with Sketchup.

The Free model library is handy for those "in the background" models in the scene as well!


Its great - I particularly use it for presentation graphics - can make your CAD drawing or 3D model look hand drawn - very cool!
