Hi Guys

Picked up Mays issue of Stereophile today. As I was flicking through it I found this add for an American dealer and I nearly chocked....either this is the most creative add ever or the most tacky.....discuss ;)

If your local dealer did something similar who would you want to sell you some audio ? Keep it clean guys, no porn or nudes.

I have blanked out the name and address of the shop to protect the.....ummm, you decide :lol::lol::lol:

Is that for real?

I'm not exactly high-brow but I'm not particularly 'taken' by the proposition... and I'm pretty sure anyone serious about audio would figure it was a waste of time too. I'm pretty sure that folks interested in dancing girls won't bother forking out for 'high-end' audio as an expensive side-bar to the main entertainment...

If it's a p--- take it belittles its audience a little too much :mental:

No Nick....that is a real advertisement in this months Stereophile. I could not believe my eyes. I had to split it into 2 pictures as I wanted all the text to be readable.

I'm surprised Stereophile accepted the advertisment for publication in the first place. Maybe it is a sign of Stereophile lowering their standards, or being desparate for advertising revenue. Certainly doesn't impress me and I'll treat Stereophile with even more suspicion in the future.
