TDL Studio 0.75M speakers. These are pretty rare. I'll never sell these babies.

I have a freind who has some TDL RTL2's... I have never heard the Studio series, but they sure look the part! I do like transmission line bass, I had a pair of PMC TB2S+, great weight to the sound for thier size.

Hiya, Thanks for looking. These speakers sound great, I hope my modified Quad 405's will suffice with these?

I'll never sell these speakers, even if I end up getting another pair of speakers.

If anyone here owns TDL speakers, please come in and post some pics.

Shane, I am sure you will have no problems driving the TDL's with a pair of 405's. Having said that, I have only ever heard a 405 driving ESL63's.

I got very close once to buying a pair of Studio 1's but settled on some SD Acoustics OBS's.

But I was very impressed with the TDL's - unbelievable bass for the size of cabinet, but I felt that the mid-range wasn't just quite there for me.

So how do your 0.75's differ?

They sound very nice, very clean midrange and vocals. Good TDL speakers can also be very revealing, and depends what equipment you put into them.

My TDL's sang very nice with Audiolab amps.

I see lots of people say the 405 is a very good bargain. Don't know why?

I should be getting my Quad 405's by Friday. I bought 2 of them and asked the seller to bridge them into 200w. Also the Quads have been completely modified.

The TDL's are quite tough to drive I would imagine at 85db, but that should be more than enough. I have 2 watts and cant get past about 1 o'clock without it being too loud - but my speakers are 95 db.

What speakers have you got, are they tannoy's or something?

No, they use Fostex FE206e drivers, 8".... click on the HIfi past and present in my sig and you will see them near the end of the slideshow. They use just the one driver per cabinet.

Saw them they look nice. I also see you have neat audio speakers. How they get on with your system?

I no longer have the Neats. They were very good speakers, but a bit of a tough load for valves, which I now use. I used to bi-amp them with arcams, you can just make the amps ou in one of the pics, on the left. My is that the time?!? bed time! goodnight all.

I must say I like the look of the Neat Momentum 3i. Do they have bass ports at the back? Are they made to be placed near to a back wall?
