Itunes/DAC clicking noise

When using iTunes/AE into a TC-7520 DAC ,
Is it normal to hear a slight clicking/popping noise when switching between tracks ?

Notice the same pop/click sound when channel hopping on satellite .
Seems to occur in the momentary silence between switching channels.
Perhaps this is normal ?

I notice it occasionally when first firing up iTunes into the 7520. Not switching between tracks though.

noticed that the noise is only audible through headphones , not the speakers.

I sometimes get a loud pop when starting play or changing tracks on my Squeezebox, with the volume on my amp at "12 o'clock" it can be somewhat scary.
