Hi,I was looking for a DAC to convert the Apple Airport Express digital output and feed it to my Rotel RA 820 BX.
Amazon.it is proposing this TCC TC-7510 saying in the description: "it's the same device sold as Beresford TC-7510" (http://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B006TTY6ZQ/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&smid=A1BT2G8S0CU1Y5)

Is this true ? Why isn't it branded Beresford ? Should I buy it or better to go for the orignal one ? (e.g. I found a Beresford TC-7510 Here (http://www.beresford-dac.nl/products/TC-7510.html) )

Perhaps they have a licensing agreement with Stan. If they don't I'm sure Stan would be keen to take a look at its innards... :eyebrows:

Yes the TC-7510 is still being made for a US customer. I had a large stock of the CS8414 chips with lead in them. Unfortunately I can't sell that version of the DAC in the EU due to RoHS regulation on Pb free components.

Thanks for clarifying, Stanley.
So would you advise me to buy this TCC TC-7510 or should I go for the one branded Beresford ?
The first is easier, as I can buy it from amazon.it and have it delivered in 2 days, while the second would come from Nederlands.

On the other side I'd prefer to have a device branded Beresford than a TCC one...

It is entirely up to your wallet. Just keep in mind that you might have to pay import duties from the US.
