HI Guys

Just found this elsewhere ;). I met Simon a few years ago when he was helping out in the AMR room....nice guy and very knowledgeable. It does feature his company a bit Audio Smile and quite a lot of the comedy (via some of his mates) is not that funny but still it gives some insight into last years hi-fi show. The documentary is 30 mins long. To be honest it doesn't really help to remove the idea we are all a bunch of nurds ;)

I won't comment on the video but the Audiosmiles seem like nice little speakers, as far as nice little speakers go ;)

I'm sure that they sound very good, but £1800, with some judicious shopping around, could buy a lot of speaker that would give real bass and genuine scale, which as far as I'm concerned is fundamentally important if music is to be reproduced realistically.

Having said that, if I were forced to use small speakers due to room constraints or WAF then I'd be giving them a serious listen as I like bespoke hand-built products from small, specialist, manufacturers - and I admire young people who start their own businesses. Good luck to Simon, I hope he does well :)

Marco.

Indeed! However, sometimes reasonable eye-candy can be found amongst the hired female staff of some of the exhibitors, or even the waitresses in the restaurants... :eyebrows:

;)

P.S How are your Mark Grant cables doing?

Hi Guys

It occurs to me that maybe someone who will be at the March show might like to do a video report of the show (i think its more than possible to do much better) and it could be posted on the forum as a video link (can that be done).

If I was going to the show(can't afford it) I would love to do it.... Surely someone could...if you guys think its a good idea.
