Out again to Whitby at night.
It is a better place with very few people about.
I think some Sunrise shots of the Abbey will be next to do, just have to wait for the right weather.
Hope you enjoy these. Can you imagine Dracula stalking the streets of Whitby in photo's of the Abbey .

Hehehehe... You're starting to become infected by my macabre mind, Andy! :eyebrows:

Great shots as usual, particularly the last one.

Hi Marco

Cheers for your comments.
It is really strange, I never give much thought to the Macarbe and Dracula etc.
As soon as I was in Whitby all those thoughts come to mind, It really was quiet and spooky there. I did look over my shoulder on a few occassions too .
Will have to get to Whitby when the Goth festival is on.
My next plan is to get photo's of a sunrise with the Abbey in the background with the Dark Blue and Red sky burning behind.

Hi Barry

Cheers for your comments.
I actually use the last photo as my PC wallpaper. Looks good too.
Original size is 4288 x 2848 pixels I resize to 2000 x 1329 for the PC
If you wish I can send the original image to you, or of any photo if anyone is interested.

Cheers Natalie

With the shifts I work, after every 7 Rota's I get 18 days off work.
That is when I get the best chance to be out and about with the dogs and camera.
I do try and put thought into my photo's, but really it is just a hobby, and the results are 'Pot Luck'
So the good comments are appreciated.

Cheers again

Hope you have a good time, are you there for just a day or the whole weekend.
There is always plenty to do, if you have the time try a visit to Staithes which is about 10 miles away.
Alternatively the North Yorkshire Railway, is near by too at Goathland and Pickering.
What ever you do, enjoy yourselves.

Thanks Andy, we just arrived, I'm currently sat looking at the Abbey through the balcony doors of the place we are staying.
I'm using the little netbook so will add a pic later if I remember :)
Oh we are here all week for just a short break.

Hope you continue to enjoy your stay at Whitby Leo.
Wait until nightfall and the Abbey and harbour look great.
Try a walk around the abbey at night too.
But watch out for Marco dressed in his Black cape with Red lining and his pointy teeth .

Enjoy

OMG, you just sent shivers down my spine .
Have turned all the lights on in the house and made sure the doors are locked.
Just need to buy a supply of Holy Water and Garlic.
Now, where do I get the Silver bullets from - Ebay or Amazon as usual:lol:
