My Croft Series 7 is a special one, with the large transformer and better compoments.
It is with the simplified lower impedance valve stage as use in the 7R mono.
I tried some very good 12bh7a, my favorite is the tung-sol black plate. But this Hoges E80cc is very good also.
I am waiting for some tungsram E80CC
With the E80CC fitted the sound is more air and speed, and more live-performance.
I really enjoy this Croft 7.
