Taking the focus as improving sound where do you start with your complete system and what/when/why do you come back to when other links have been improved.
From my system in my current house the first thing is the mains.
Detail might be
Rewire - which was easy having the house refurbed, but expensive otherwise.
Chunkier earth and perhaps more of it/them. - I noticed a difference when the earthing was changed as we lived on site during the build
Newer distribution unit
Heavier duty/newer circuit breakers
Dedicated circuit for hifi
I saw Marco mention a single unswitched socket - new one for me
When you get into the kit itself do you start at the front, maybe with the room and supports even before the kit.
When you look at a record deck there are even more components than I used to think, thanks to this forum !
I'm pretty well sold on back to basics for a lot of things in life
When you have your system pretty well sorted what bit do you look to improve - to get more from your music ?
If there is already and SoP please point me at it :)
