Hello all,

Not been on in a while,

I have a pair speakers that are in need of some love,

they have what appears to be water marks to the top of them, and im not sure how to go about getting them looking proper again, iv got some pictures of a few years ago when i first discovered the marks after not being used for a while, and i havn't done anything with them since and thinking now is the time.

Im after advice on either how to get them back to there original state, either by doing it my self or sending them to be professorially done.

Im also after a badge for these after one has gone missing

The speakers are Goodmans maxim.

Pictures of them

Cheers

I read that cigarette ash will get rid of watermarks. Never tried it though.

But have a look here (http://www.finishing.com/102/75.shtml)and here (http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/home/heloise/remove-water-mark-dec04). Those suggestions might work for you.

Cheers for the link on how to refurb them,

Finally got round to taking the drivers out couldn't budge the screws on the crossovers so left them in, I recon they will be ok,

Does anyone know what the numbers in side referr to?

Tried some WD40 on the screws? Or simply tapping them with a small panel pin hammer may loosen them off??

I havnt tried anything like that yet as I did it in the house!

Il have a try tomorrow, but I didn't want to risk loosing the head Of the screw!

You could always drill the head of the screw out if that happened and replace with new ;)

I was going to replace all the screws anyway as they look a bit tired,
So drilling them out might be a option but it's quite a way back in the boxes!

I'd take the XO's out and make em external. Those Goodmans speakers have a HUGE maggy in that small enclosure :)

Love these speakers though, on my list to get sometime soon.
