Hi John,

I must admit, I'm rather pleased with what it does. It perhaps isn't as tailored as potentially DIY can be to the needs of its owner but as a bespoke set it is a very close match of how I perceive good sound to be. Anthony and I seem to share similar goals in how we like things to sound and I got to hear different valve permutations before making a choice with the power amp. With the preamp that came later, Anthony was able confidently to make that choice on my behalf!

The interconnect and speaker cables came as a bit of a revelation, especially considering their price (or lack thereof) compared to what I'd been using before. Other ancilliaries - mains leads, block and stands come from the Music Works stable. I've always been one of those who are impressed by their demonstrations, whether or not Mr Jackson has been there to jump around at the time.

The sea of sniping and negativity over your mere reporting of the benefits of your new PSU on pfm is astounding; although, given the agendas and grudges held by some over there, not surprising... :mental:

Quite frankly, it's a bloody disgrace.

Not to worry Marco, it's the same old characters at it and they've generated a lot of traffic for that thread. Experience tells me that anyone genuinely interested in upgrading the Bel Canto will still read all the relevant bits and post (or get in touch) accordingly. There are a few positive and pertinent responses in there.

Yeah, the signal-to-noise ratio though measures vastly in favour of noise!!

Enough said ;)
