You know, I just love this building so much. I love the way it is juxtaposed with all of the old derelict stuff although I suspect that a lot of this older stuff has since been knocked down. I love the Kashmir curry house on a Saturday afternoon and wandering around the city centre looking for old vinyl and I love the 'New Crown Inn' and their strip shows of student girls trying to supplement their student loans. It is a complete universe away from where I am now and yes, I do miss it, sometimes.

Technical details, Hasselblad 500CM with a 50mm Carl Zeiss lens. Kodak T-Max 100 developed in Paterson FX-39 developer at normal dilution.

I adore Art Deco and love this building for displaying so much of this design movement. To a lesser degree I love Art Nouveau as well and here the building also shows signs of this concept. This is a true thing of beauty and I am so pleased that it still exists where it does.

Lovely pictures as per usual Shaun :) Pity about the fugly modern luminaire in the first shot, though that may well be on purpose :eyebrows: If so, i'll take the Art Deco light any day of the week ;)

Absolutely Mark. A 500Watt quartz halogen does nothing for me either. I'll take the art deco lantern anytime.
