It is our policy to make the forum as friendly and informative as possible - to that effect we would ask that all members registered with a username other than their real name sign their posts with at least their real first names so that people replying can engage in discussion with a human being rather than a cartoon character.

Thanks in advance :)

Marco.

Agreed. Despite the business-like approach of this forum, I'd like to think we were a friendly enough bunch to be able to relate to each other on first name terms :)

With experience on other forums, it is a far more pleasant place when people don't hide behind pseudonyms, not to mention more personal.

Agreed. We can't force people to use their real first names but we can at least encourage it.

I'm off to skin a rabbit and get me some fresh tarragon....

er...that's why I need to consolidate ALL my usernames on ALL forums that I visit....it's actually getting too difficult to keep track and to allow some "visibility" or "transparency" or whatever, so that others may identify---we're not 007 here....hmmm a new one, ..they call me Bond, James Bond

Great idea. It's always nice to at least put a real name to a fellow poster.

I've always thought it an unusual name for a Yorkshireman. Still, better than Wayne.

100% sure. If I am telling a lie about it I shall vacate the art of sound for being dishonest. I don't want my customers to think that I am an unscrupulous character who can't even read his first name off his birth certificate.
