I'm selling my World Audio Design KLS3 Gold mk2s.
These use high end French Audax carbon fibre mid and bass drivers with a Pressurized Piezo Polymer tweeter.
The externally boxed crossovers have M Cap Polypropylene Capacitors, Caddock Resistors, Ansar Capacitors and M Cap Air Core Inductors.
Wiring throughout is Silver.
The boxes have been professionally made using 1 inch MDF and finished in a green marble vinyl wrap.
Spiked plinths are included.
These speakers are a very easy load for any amplifier and have a sensitivity of 90db
I 've been running these with my WD Kel84 valve amp with most excellent results.

£350

Pickup only, though I can deliver up to a distance of 100 miles for the price of fuel.

Reduced to £250

Some extra info

Size 1000x350x210

The crossovers follow the mk2 specs but with upgraded components eg. aircore inductors, high quality caps and resistors. The tweeters are fine, though on rare occasions of very high atmopheric pressure they do show minor signs of wrinkling. There is a mod documented in HiFi World mag last month that explains an alternative tweeter from Seas. The rest of the drive units are fine. The cabinets are in good condition, well made, robust and very heavy.

Haha, I know a lot happened in those years, including the last 4 living in a tent traveling around europe!
Maybe there are some better speakers to build now ?

From what I see on gumtree and other places the speakers sell for between £120 and 350 absolute max. :)

True I think the market price of these has been limited by the lifespan of the tweeter.

Yes. That piezo driver had reliability issues and replacements became unobtainable. I believe there were options to use alternative tweeters. Can't recall details though.

A guy over at diyaudio said they can be reinflated. There's a valve on the back apparently.

Nice sounding speakers that can be had for a bargain price.

I remember reading about a repair option years ago, that must have been it. If they get back to the original sound and can be repeated once every few years then they are a bargain.
